Spring Semester Blues

Coming back this semester has been pretty tough. I wanted to stay home with my fiance and just relax for a little bit longer. Since WKU has a winter term causing us to have a very long winter break, it makes coming back for spring semester even harder. Hopefully in the next few weeks I will be able to get back into the swing of things.

This semester I decided to changed my major from animal science to accounting, which is a very drastic change, but I will hopefully enjoy accounting. With an accounting major I will be able to have a broad array of different career paths that I could pursue, and I may even be able to get a career in the agriculture field as I had originally planned.

This semester I am taking two online classes, along with three other classes that are in a classroom setting. I have had one other online class in the past and enjoyed it, and I hope I enjoy our English 200 class as well. One thing that worries me about taking two online classes is that I am given a lot of free time, so I need to learn to use it wisely in order to do good in all my classes. I am looking forward to taking English 200 and what it holds for me in the future.

  1. Changing the major from animal science to accounting.
Accounting is a great career with many different paths in business that can be beneficial to you. If you can understand accounting means and methods then you can advise business owners how and why they are loosing money. Once you understand the debits and credits the rest is easy because most adults do not understand the concepts.
Stick with it, accounting is needed in every aspect of any business.
