I was very surprise to be woke up Wednesday morning by a text message saying that WKU-Bowling Green campus was closed today. I had heard from many upperclassman that classes were almost never canceled here for snow. However, I was rather happy classes were canceled because I was suppose to take a test that day but I was not very prepared for it then.
Although it was a snow day, I was a little frustrated because I was having problems with my computer. I could not get onto the Internet in my dorm room because there is something wrong with the Cisco program that is downloaded onto my computer. I tried everything to fix it including removing it and then re-installing it back onto my computer, which did not work. The bad part was there was not one to contact Wednesday because the IT department was closed. Also the computer labs were closed, so then I was stuck trying to do my homework on my friend's computer just so I could get it done.
On a happier note though my 20th birthday is today, so I am very excited. My fiance took that day off of work but I ended having to do homework all day because my computer was not working before. However, tomorrow my fiance, our friend Logan, and I are headed to Louisville for our annual trip to the Farm Machinery Show and tractor pulls Saturday night. I am hoping to have a wonderful birthday and Valentine's day and I am ready for whatever lies ahead of me this weekend.

Sounds like you had a busy week. Happy Belated Birthday to you. I remember when I was 20...Well not really...LOL
ReplyDeleteAs far as class being cancelled...if there is icy roads WKU will cancel class. if it is just snow they will not. There are so many commuters that they really need to cancel to prevent commuters from trying to make it to class.
Drive safe to lville and have a great valentines day!!!
Happy late birthday! I just turned 20 on Febraury 7th, and I feel weird not being a teenager anymore. The snow day was unexpected for me was well, and I spent most of the day trying to help my mom's friends from Nebraska with their car troubles. They were so frustrated because they left Nebraska to Georgia hoping to escape the snow. I also can relate with the computer not working, mine seems to shut down when I need it the most. Anyway, I hope you enjoy your weekend!
